Author Jenny Gahan

Jenny Gahan is an experienced primary and special education teacher, passionate about sharing her love of reading and writing with others. She has worked with children diverse in age, culture and ability, which facilitates her writing of authentic stories. Jenny writes both fiction and non-fiction picture books that encourage readers to use their imagination, ask questions, and engage with their world. She particularly likes to incorporate themes of courage, persistence, and resilience in her writing. Jenny lives in Brisbane with two cats, Zoe and Chloe, who think they are human. When she’s not looking, they like to walk across her computer keyboard and add a few words of their own to her stories. When she’s not writing, Jenny enjoys photography adventures, and in the future hopes to visit more of the places that inspire her work.
