Author Katrien Pickles

Katrien was born in the Netherlands and grew up in Hawaii before moving to the mid-north coast of NSW, Australia. With long-time travellers as parents, her home was filled with books from all over the world, stacked onto an entire wall of bookshelves made by her Dad. She hopes that Georgina and Dad the Dragon will be a book that children and adults can curl up with and get transported into, and that it might also contribute to passing on the book-love bug to a new generation of readers. Katrien now lives with her partner, Ben, their puppy called Albert, a

duck called Little Feather, and five chickens.
